CD Format
This section can be found in WinRescue Preferences. It is accessible from the Help tab by clicking on the Preferences, Settings, Backup Manager button.
It formats CDs and DVDs in two ways: Quick or Full. In most case, Quick Format is adequate. If WinRescue is set up to delete all files on the CD before doing a Backup (see Backup Properties), then a Quick Format is done before backing up.
To format the CD or DVD select the correct drive and click on one of the two buttons.
If it seems like WinRescue is not properly recognizing a CD drive when backing up to it, go to the CD Format section. If the CD drive letter is listed as a question mark (?), select the CD drive in CD Format and then exit the section. This should correct the problem.
